First of all, Kerri and her mom made it down for that week - I believe it was around the last week in June. We had a great time; I think I detailed it someplace else, so if I can find that, I'll post a link (someday).

More recently, I moved back down to Tucson. I just got here Friday (September first), to be exact. We rented another minivan (which is what I moved up to MN in) and managed to barely cram all of my shit into it, and my mom drove me back down here. I found my apartment through the internet, so I didn't even know what it looked like until I first unlocked the door when we got here.

I took tons of pictures of the trip and my apartment. I also took a bunch of pictures of a bowling party my co-worker friends threw for me a couple of nights before I left. Then, the Tuesday before we left, my Aunt Joyce picked me up and took me flying. I am still working on uploading pics of that, so there will be a link here as soon as I'm done with that page o' pics.

The coolest thing happened. The day after I moved in, my mom and I happened to take a walk around the block and there was a guy selling like, ALL of his stuff, right around the corner from me in the same complex. I got his sofa, huge entertainment center, a big microwave, a chair, a 20-inch color TV, a vacuum, a floor lamp, and a Sauza tequila neon all for roughly fifty bucks. It was insane. He and his buddy even brought the heavy stuff over for me. I knew I had some good karma coming!!

OMG, my best friend, who lives in Canada and I have known for 8 years and never met, is coming down in about two weeks and we'll meet for the first time in person!! I think we know each other better than anyone who knows us in reality, and we've spent an average of three hours a night, roughly three to four times a week chatting on MSN, or whatever other chat programs/rooms we've used throughout the years. There will be a ton of pictures from this event!!!

Turns out the last time I made an entry in here, my nephew was being born!! Here are a couple of the first pictures of him:
 

He was two months early and showed up by surprise. He weighed 4 pounds 2 ounces at birth, is up to 5 and change now, and is home already! My mom's flying out to see him on the 18th. I can't afford to go and miss work and all, so I'll be stuck here (with the place to myself for two weeks - wheeee!) trying to rustle up rides to and from the Rainbow. Oh well.

So, I did the first social thing I've done since moving here, outside of spending the weekend at two friends' houses out of town. Someone from work had a graduation/21st birthday party at a local bar, so I went. T'was kinda fun. Had a couple drinks bought for me, so that's all good. Probably ran my mouth a little too much about various things, but that's my tendency when you add alcohol. Keeps things interesting, that's for sure.

It's finally getting warmer. I've dropped five pounds. Oh yeah, and I finally got a nice raise. Other than that, same old shit on a different day of the week.

Eccchhhh!!! I finally decided I needed an update over here! I didn't even have enough entries to warrant splitting up the last layout into February and March; it's just going to stay together. I really wanted to do an AbFab layout though, so I finally got my shit together one day and slapped it together!

I still don't have much to report on. My life's as boring as ever. I work, I come home, I sleep, eat, watch too much TV, and chat online with my best friend. 

Work's boring, but tolerable... most of my shifts are closing, which is until 11pm at night. I don't mind except on Sundays, because I have no ride there on a Sunday afternoon and I have to take a taxi, which not only negates the whole earning an extra .50 an hour bit that's appealing about Sunday in the first place, but ends up costing me. Ohhh fucking well, though! I really need a better-paying job, but given my limited transportation around this burg, I don't think it's going to happen.

I dyed my hair again today. It's a little brighter red than before. Or at least it was supposed to be... I was going for a nice, Ginny Weasley red, but it doesn't look much different, in my opinion. It looks sparkly in this picture, but that's just the flash reflecting off of it. And I've still got that damned calico thing going on from when I dyed it black in early '05 and didn't get it all stripped out. Damn it! Oh well.

Tomorrow I have to be in at 9:00, so I need to get a decent night's sleep tonight. I also have to be in at 9:15 next Monday, after closing up at 11pm Sunday night. That's nice of 'em!

The weather better clear up around these parts SOON, because I am getting really goddamned fat and I need to get out and get some bloody exercise! I was off today, and it was around 50º, but it rained all damn day!! Sooo typical.
