Ok, where the hell am I?? I've been here a month, and already we've had the electricity go out for several hours (mind you, this was hours after the storm had passed) and now the cable's gone out for the afternoon. There isn't any storm going on this time, either. The entire time I lived in Tucson, I never lost my cable once. Nor my electricity for more than a flicker. It's like living in freaking India or something. Which just goes to show... it always is something. Good thing we've got that movie (and on VHS this time, thank you!) to
watch tonight.

We rented The Ring Two and I started watching it tonight only to get about halfway through it and it became utterly unplayable. It skipped and froze throughout the whole thing, really, and I kept having to stop and restart it, which was irritating as fuck enough, but I was enjoying the movie and didn't want to stop it and wait for another copy so I kept going. I should have stopped while I was ahead. I'm annoyed as bloody hell right now. When we take this frisbee back, we're getting it on VHS! When I buy movies, I will buy DVD's, but for renting, VHS is better, because clearly there are too many cretins out there who haven't mastered how to CAREFULLY handle a DVD so that it doesn't become one big scratch. If you're too stupid to know how to handle a DVD, you shouldn't be allowed to rent them. Or breathe. And while I'm on a roll ranting, can I just say that putting a treadmill together should not be a greater workout than you get actually using it? And then getting it put together only to find out it's not put together right - three times - I swear, I put those damn arms on every possible way they could go on except the correct way before getting it right, and then I got on to try it and it's all rusted to shit or something because you can't use the arm poles and walk on it simultaneously. It takes so much effort to move the tread thing, you need to hold the bar in the front, causing a bent-over posture that I'm sure is not a smart way to be walking on it. So I guess fuuuuuck that too! Grrrrrr!! In other news, I should have pictures from my trip to the Renaissance one of these years, as soon as I use up the rest of the film.... in the meantime, the photos section has been updated recently with other stuff. Also, if you haven't noticed it on my other sites page, I have a new site you should check out when you get bored and have time to read things... Hot Pink Bohemian. 09.14.05

I redid my layout for the umpteenth time; I'm reading Gilda Radner's biography It's Always Something and decided to do a tribute to her on my layout. Saturday I'm going to the Renaissance Fair with a friend from high school whom I haven't seen since I was about 20. That should be fun! We've been catching up over email for the past couple of months. It better not rain!! 09.02.05
