My friend Kerri finally came back from the UK, yay!! She wants me to
go back with her this summer for a short visit. I have a really
good incentive to go, so if she can hook me up with enough Xanax, I might
actually get on a plane...
I got in touch with another friend from "back in the days" who lives
about as far north of me as my other friend lives south - the one I spent
a weekend with a few weeks back. If everything goes according to plan,
I will be going up to spend this coming weekend with her and her three
children...hmm... Should be an interesting time, to say the least!

I finally got those Renaissance
pictures up! There's also an entry on the photo
blog of pictures from my weekend at my friend's house down in Winona.
10.13.05
Ok, I need to give a bit more explanation for the last couple entries
I've posted in the photo
blog. On Tuesday,
my mom and I picked up her childhood friend (coincidentally also my godmother)
who is spending a couple days here. We had lunch at Ruby Tuesdays, then
went to White Bear Avenue shopping. I got a couple shirts, a sweater, and
some jeans at the Salvation Army (and not embarrassed to say so; they're
cute and they were damn cheap!). Then we went to this place called
Ceragem and used these awesome massage beds, which are totally
free to use, anytime. After that, we came home and played some games,
ate waaaayyy too much junk food and drank three bottles of wine
between us!
Wednesday I refrained from joining them on their trip to a new local
mall. I actually wasn't really too hung over, I was just really tired and
pretty dehydrated.
Today
we went to St. Paul to try to go to some art museums, but couldn't find
anything worth going to. We wanted to have sushi for lunch, so I'd looked
up where to have it online and found a Sakura in downtown St. Paul. My
mom remembered that my cousin worked somewhere around there but couldn't
remember where; we were going to call him to find out but didn't have his
number along. As we drove along trying to locate the restaurant, we passed
some library - I forget the guy it's named for; somebody Hill (not Hank!)
and decided to check it out for shits and giggles. We walk in the front
door and who's standing at the front desk but my cousin. I mean,
what are the odds?? So he showed us around there for awhile, then we went
and walked around for an hour or so and came back to get him for lunch.
The Sakura happened to also be conveniently located two blocks from
there!
After all of that, we decided to tour a bunch of models for local townhome
complexes being built, just for something else free and interesting to
do. One of them had all these gift baskets all over the kitchen table as
part of the decor and they were filled with little things of coffee and
biscuits and stuff; I copped a bag of hazelnut coffee for breakfast tomorrow
;) And that pretty much wraps up the highlights.

Went to my cousin's wedding last night. Damn, weddings make me feel
bad. I'm such a bitter old hag. Receptions with complimentary wine are
nice, though. I'll have pictures whenever my aunt and/or cousins send me
copies.
