It was a good time though. I mean, not counting the $10 of found money, I spent ten of my own, and that's not bad for an afternoon's entertainment. You'd pay that to see a movie & have popcorn, so that's not too bad.

Someone sent me a check for $20 to burn some CD's for her, and while I did keep a list of what she wanted, I have misplaced her email address! So, if you happen to be reading, Eva, I did receive your check and I am working on the CD's! I'll mail 'em to the address on your check.

So, I got myself a diamond ring... (actually it's a late birthday present, but nevertheless), since nobody else is ever going to buy me one, I figured I might as well get my own. I'll just be engaged to myself, thank you.

Went to the company Christmas party on Sunday night. Ate WAY too much and drank even more... pictures here.

I started my new job the next morning, on four hours of sleep, haha. I only had to sit at a table all day and freeze my ass off though, so it's not like I really needed my brain. Did the same damn thing again today from eight am until four in the afternoon. KILL ME. Thank GOD this is only for this week and then I start training for what I'm actually hired for.

I took a fucking taxi home tonight. It's about three and a half miles. Including tip, I paid twelve fucking dollars just to get home. That is FUCKED UP. It takes me two hours just to EARN that, after taxes!!! GODDAMN what a world I live in!! It used to cost me $10, including tip, to take a cab between the bar and my apartment in AZ. And I was making a lot more money. I need to live somewhere that has public transportation, for fuck's sake. Excuse my language, but I'm PISSED. I'll never save up enough money to get the hell back down to Arizona paying that every goddamn day!!!

Not only that, but I need to call about 45 in advance if I'm on my way into work to make sure they get here to pick me up and get me there without being late!! If I get many morning shifts, I'm just going to sleep in my fucking clothes!!!

To top off my day, nobody bothered to tell me if and when to come in tomorrow. Or whatever. The lady who hired me was off today. So now what?! Christ, life sucks!

Holy crap, I got a job. I'm going to be some kind of a Customer Service Manager at Rainbow Foods. I have to go to downtown St. Paul tomorrow and take the damn drug test everyplace under the sun requires now (part of the reason I had a problem finding a job in Tucson!); good thing I've been clean for awhile!

I gave Hot Pink Bohemian a facelift when I was bored yesterday - if you haven't been over there, go check it out, there are some good stories there!!

Nothing much to say, really, I just wanted to get a fresh page up for the new month (and year). I didn't change much because I'd just changed the layout on the December page pretty recently, so I just added a header graphic and changed the border from a solid black line to pink dots, as well as doctoring up a bit o' shit on the menu column. That's about it.
