click for larger pictureI decided to try something, just for shits and giggles. Alcohol works so well with Jell-o, I thought I'd try it in pudding. It came out great, but I used wayyy too much alcohol! That's because we didn't have enough milk left. Next time I try this, I will use more milk and less alcohol. The recipe here is how I'd make it ideally; not how it came out this time. Since there was hardly any milk left, and the alcohol wasn't cold, I threw in some low-fat ice cream instead. (Also, I only made half a package):
Tiffany's Killer Choco-Coconut Pudding
1 package instant vanilla or chocolate pudding (the cooked kind won't work; all the alcohol will cook away)
1 cup cold milk
1/2 cup cold coconut rum
1/2 cup cold creme de cacao
1/2 cup Cool Whip
1/2 cup mini marshmallows

Whisk together the pudding, the alcohol, and the milk until it starts to thicken, then add the marshmallows. Once it gets a little thicker, stir in the Cool Whip. Yum. It's also great on graham crackers! Woo hoo!! (Can you tell I've had some?!)

I got a real digital camera for Christmas! Woohoo!! I took tons of pictures at my family shindig yesterday, as well as a bunch of others I haven't uploaded anywhere yet.

Well, I'm officially unemployed again. Guess I will be putting in applications all day on Friday, when my mom can take me to some places...

No plans for New Years; perhaps I'll just get drunk online again with my best friend like we spent Christmas eve! And the weekend after that is the company Xmas party for the store where I was working... that should be interesting....

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I don't bother making New Year's resolutions anymore.

No.

5. What countries did you visit?
I don't think I even made it down to Mexico in 2005.

My goddamned independence and sanity.

7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I don't think there are any specific dates I'll remember about this year.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Uhhh... finally finding a job, albeit a temporary one...?

9. What was your biggest failure?

Nobody's, that stands out to me.

Old Dub'ya... Dr. Phil.....

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?

ZERO

Being able to stay in Arizona.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?

I liked my cousin Heather's answer here: ALCOHOL! And my best friend Kerri.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Nobody I feel like mentioning here.

The whole thing with Hurricane Katrina and our shitty response time to it, due to all our efforts and people being too busy focusing on other countries besides our own.

37. Who did you miss?
I missed all my friends in NYC, and since moving here, all my friends in AZ as well.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Either Amy, Joey, or the gang I'm working with at the store right now. I can't name any one person.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
Don't you mean in 2005? That's the year we're recapping, here! I learned that just because someone is your family doesn't mean you have to be anything like them, and if you're not, and you're still proud of who you are, you can't let them get to you.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
"My shadow's the only one that walks beside me..." - Greenday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams

Ok, so I realize I haven't updated in nearly a month. I am working five days a week, and really ridiculous hours. The job itself is damn easy and the people I work with are cool, but I have to ride in at least an hour early every day and hang out for an hour after my shift while they pack up the jewelry & close the store, since that's part of my mom's job and not mine.

I miss sleep.

And I spend wayyyy too much time in Cub Foods. They probably think I'm a real freak. There's just little else open early and closed late, and unless I wanna spend hours running around in the subzero (literally) temperatures and spend money I don't have, it's my best option for killing time. They have booths I can sit in and read and listen to headphones, so that works for me.

I am getting my own phone line installed here Thursday, because since I have no life, home, or anything else of my own, I gotta have my goddamn bloody internet, and heaven forbid it interfere with mother's phone chatting time... all I have is the internet, and I'm not about to give it up, damn it.
