Ok, I went to town with the scanner yesterday. Here are pictures from the road trip. These are pictures of my mom's townhouse, and here's my room. I'll be redoing this layout again soon too, since I took all the "moving" stuff off of it.

Oh. my. GODS!!!! I haven't been able to get this damn computer online since before I left Tucson on Sunday morning! I hooked it all up and it wouldn't recognize a dial tone, and some other problem I couldn't figure out. Fortunately, I have a local cousin who is a computer tech, and he came and hooked me up this morning!! I hadn't seen him since he was a kid, either, so that was cool. He got married last summer and I haven't met his wife yet either.

I have TONS of pictures... I will be putting them on a separate page and there will be a link to them here, and probably eventually on the photos page too, so check back! The photo blog may possibly get a few too, but I just haven't been able to keep up with shit for this last week, so bear with me!!

I'm never going to get rid of this STUPID TV! Nobody wants it because of the green tint! And I'm really pissed that the guy who sold it to me didn't tell me about it because I certainly wouldn't have traded away a perfectly good one for it, just to be able to hook up a DVD! A converter for the one I had would've been $20! And for being honest enough to tell people about it myself, I'm getting shafted!! I could really kick his ass. I called his brother to come pick up the crutches they loaned me, but if he doesn't, I'm selling those and at least recoup something for it.

I stripped my hair last night. Another thing I'm pissed about. The girl at Sally was really helpful and knowledgeable, however, she failed to inform me that I'd need two bottles of that shit to accommodate all my hair! It's not like she couldn't see how long my hair was! And she'd have sold another box of stuff. So now I have two-or-three-toned hair, and I can't redo it now or it will just make the red parts lighter and it'll still be six different colors. Normally, I wouldn't care so much - it's just hair and I like it looking a little funky, but I have to find a bloody job and don't want to be told my hair is unacceptable; I can do little else but put in the red I bought to cover my 3 inches of roots and hope it evens out a bit.

What a world I live in.

Cool, I heard back from my friend Amy from NYC. She emailed me and said she'd been thinking about me recently... kinda eerie. Just goes along with the whole past-coming-back theme, and proves that often when you're thinking of someone, they'll contact you out of the blue.

I so want to take a trip to NYC! And really, now would be the time. Well, as soon as I get to MN. Because I don't have to take time off work, I'd have someone to take care of Noelle, and my stuff would be safe and not unattended. It takes only a day and 2 hours to get there by bus, which is a lot shorter than going from here, and if I get advance tickets, it's only $138 round trip! I have several places to stay for free, and I know how to eat there cheaply (Dojo's, yay!) so it would cost me less than $200 in total. What's another lousy $200 to pay off? Another week of work? This would really be the ideal time to go. I don't want to go when it's cold, and if I wait too much longer, all kinds of things could change. I figured if I left early September first, I'd get in the next afternoon, stay 6 or 7 days, and leave on the ninth. Is that so outrageous? This is how I live my life, folks. This is what my life is - doing things. Would it really be so out of line for me to do this?

They picked up the dining table set on Saturday, and someone came and got the chair. Then I took $60 in quarters to the CoinStar machine... if I can sell my microwave for $25 or $30 and get at least $50 for the TV, I'll be happy.

HOLY CRAP. I just googled an old friend of mine from NYC because I've been writing up another one of my "Stories I Gotta Tell" and she's involved... I came up with a BUTTLOAD of stuff on her! She's put out a CD, for chrissake! I remember her playing guitar and singing at the parties we had and stuff and always wondered why she wasn't performing live in clubs. Well, now she is! I emailed her, and await a response!

I wrote another one of the Stories I Keep Meaning To Tell.

I'm TRYING to change the addresses in the billing info on all my accounts everywhere. WHAT a PAIN in the MOTHERFUCKING ASSSSS!!!!!! I tried to change my Earthlink account online and it kept telling me the number was wrong, so I had to do it by phone. Once logged off, I figured I might as well call all my credit cards & change them too, so I called Providian, sat through 10-minutes of B.S., then halfway through giving Apoo my credit card info, his "system went down". Of COURSE it did! How CONVENIENT! He said I can do it online, but I just tried and it's telling me all of the CORRECT info I'm putting in is WRONG! So FUCK 'EM! The P.O. will forward all my mail to me, and I'll just have to get the goddamn bill THAT way.

Then I called ANOTHER one and their automated robot tells me, and I quote, "We cannot provide you with the level of customer service you expect. Please call back another time." I've called this place twice, ever, and got this message both times. They're gypping me out of $18 in addition to not being able to update my account. If I can't speak to a PERSON there, I'm going to write on my next bill, "Sorry, I can't provide you with the level of payment you expect; please write another time!"

I HATE all this bureaucratic BULLSHIT! Why must EVERY GODDAMN THING be such a pain in the ass in this world?! I am SO going to simplify my life, once this shit's paid off. I'll go live in a fucking TREE somewhere, grow my own food, and make my own clothes. I swear to GOD!! WHOOOO needs it???

Now I'm in a pissy mood, and it's not even 10AM! Bastards.

I have just under two weeks left here. Good thing; my ceiling started caving in yesterday. See it here. Then I went out for dinner at this new place in town called the Texas Roadhouse. I had the best chicken, and these yummy warm rolls with cinnamon-sugar butter. YUM. Next Tuesday they're taking me out for a goodbye thing, and we're having SUSHI!

Anyone in the Tucson area should check out this page for stuff I'm getting rid of cheap.

I tracked down a friend who lives in MN today. I didn't even know her there, oddly enough; she used to work with my mom, and I met her when she came out to NY where she was a nanny. We did a lot of drinking together there. I knew she was back in MN now though, so I looked up one of her siblings and got her current number. I called her today to find out she's gotten married and had three children!

Thursday I had one last lunch with my ex and her daughters, and today she packed up and moved to Kentucky, where she has some relatives. Weird that we both ended up moving halfway across the country around the same time...

Thanks to Shanna, I've gotten totally addicted to Listology. I can see this place easily blowing up into the next big thing on the internet.

I guess that party we've been trying to have at Joey's for three weeks is just called off for the time being. The gang who was supposed to attend (including myself) are going out to some new restaurant next Tuesday instead.

I broke down and listed that futhermucking table and chairs on eBay, for local pick-up only. Somebody had better buy it!! If I have to let that go for ZERO I'm going to be EVER so pissed!
